Kate Brown de Vejar elected new Young ICCA co-chair

In a closely run election, Mexico-based Kate Brown de Vejar was elected new co-chair of Young ICCA, replacing Tim Foden, who stepped down at the end of his term during the ICCA Congress in Miami. Speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the Congress, Kate (co-coordinator of Young ICCA's Mentoring Programme, with Jan Schaefer), noted that she had been the recipient of effective mentoring in her career, and believed in the obligation to "pay forward".

The remaining Young ICCA co-chairs reach the end of their terms  in early 2015, and a further election will be held to fill their places.
