If you had to give an acceptance speech for this scholarship, what would your first line be? “Thank you, I cannot wait to embark on the next stage of this journey.”

 

What is your favourite virtue? Positivity

 

What are your favourite qualities in another person? Kindness 

 

What is your chief characteristic? Energetic

 

What is your main fault? Overthinking!

 

What is your favourite occupation? To read and to write, as well as to travel and to hike

 

What is your idea of happiness? Reading a novel, next to the sea air.  

 

What is your idea of misery? To not have achieved personal growth and meaning in one’s life

 

If not yourself, who would you be? Probably launching my own startup company!

 

Where would you like to live? Singapore, London or New York

 

Who is your favourite prose author? Haruki Murakami

 

Who is your favourite hero/heroine in fiction? This one’s tough. I’d say Matilda in Ronald Dahl’s 1996 novel of the same name.

 

Who is your hero in real life? Two inspiring female politicians from different corners of the globe.  New York based U.S Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Taiwanese president, Tsai Ing-Wen

 

What historical person do you most dislike?  Pol Pot, for the devastating impact he has caused during and after his regime

 

What is your favourite name? I don’t have one unfortunately!

 

What do you hate the most? The start of a day without a cup of coffee

 

What is your natural talent? Finding a creative solution and thinking outside of the box.

 

What is your favourite arbitration-related decision? Any decision that is well-reasoned and is backed with sound logic.

 

Who is your favourite arbitrator? One who is commercially-minded yet empathetic to the needs of all parties in a case.   

 

Who is your mentor? Too many to count! There have been many people who have helped me on this journey.

 

What is your motto? Aim high and keep reaching for the stars!
