Young ICCA Webinar Series Launch

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Young ICCA Webinar Series. The first installment of the Series is scheduled for Thursday 21 May at 2pm (CEST) and is entitled “An interview with Professor Albert Jan van den Berg: Questions you always wanted to ask and did not dare to ask”.

In the 10 years of its existence, Young ICCA has strived to promote the sharing of knowledge and expertise between all members of the international arbitration community through the Young ICCA Skills Training Workshops. Many of you will have fond memories of attending these Workshops over the years, and remember them for their collaborative and constructive approach to practical skills training.

As COVID-19 continues to challenge the way we live, work and engage with one another, we are delighted to announce the launch of this brand new initiative which will allow the Young ICCA Community to gather online and continue to develop skills as arbitration practitioners in the true spirit of Young ICCA. The Webinar Series will cover a wide range of topics including enforcing awards, document production, drafting procedural orders and cross examination.

Speaking to the new initiative, current Young ICCA co-chairs, Panagiotis Chalkias, Camilla Gambarini and Theominique Nottage, stated:

“We are excited to introduce the Young ICCA Webinar Series, the first set of online events in the history of Young ICCA, which will provide young practitioners from both underserved and developed jurisdictions with universal access to our international arbitration training sessions. In line with our Skills Training Workshops, we will maintain a practical format, focusing on the skills that young practitioners should develop to succeed in international arbitration. We hope that our members will  find these webinars useful and we are looking forward to their feedback.”
