8th Cycle of the Young ICCA Mentoring Programme Officially Underway

Young ICCA is pleased to announce that the 8th cycle of its flagship Mentoring Programme is officially underway. We take this opportunity to congratulate the successful applicants and to welcome them to the Programme.

After a rigorous selection process of over 500 applicants, Programme Coordinators Krystle Baptista Serna and Emily Hay identified 80 candidates of 42 different nationalities who have been allocated into 20 Mentoring Groups. Each Mentoring Group will be led by a Mentor and a Group Advisor; two experienced arbitrators dedicated to exposing new practitioners from all corners of the globe to the international practice of arbitration.

In order to accurately represent Young ICCA’s global community, the following factors were taken into consideration when making the selection of Mentees: gender and regional diversity among participants, the under-representation of certain jurisdictions in international arbitration, the applicants’ demonstrable interest and desire to develop professionally within the field of international arbitration, prior educational and professional exposure and the need for a mix of experience and seniority in each group.

This cycle of the Mentoring Programme will run until December 2022. The selection for the next cycle will commence in July. For more information on the application process, please visit the Young ICCA Mentoring Programme page.
