Season's Greetings from Young ICCA
Dear Young ICCA Members,
As we approach the end of another remarkable year, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the extraordinary work our community has achieved together. Young ICCA was founded to open the doors of international arbitration. This year, that mission came to life across all four of our core pillars: Events, Mentoring, Scholarships, and Young ICCA Voices.
Events: A Truly Global Reach
In 2025, Young ICCA organised 26 workshops and events across 18 cities on 5 continents, bringing together thousands of participants worldwide. Our programmes reached key arbitration hubs including:
- Hong Kong
- Singapore
- London
- New York
- Sao Paulo
- Paris
Our hallmark skills-based workshops — from cross-examination to oral advocacy and procedural strategy — continue to distinguish Young ICCA from other organisations. This year’s events in Kigali, New Delhi, Lima, and Lagos stood out as especially impactful, continuing our commitment to reach emerging jurisdictions, each drawing diverse audiences and sparking energetic discussions.
These programs reaffirm the importance of offering practical, hands-on training to equip young practitioners with tools they can use immediately in their careers. At the same time, we organised side-events to accompany our flagship events to foster community and informal mentorship.
Mentoring: Strengthening a Global Network
The Young ICCA Mentoring Programme continues to grow from strength to strength. We received a record-breaking 776 applications and formed 33 mentoring groups for the forthcoming 13th mentoring cycle, bringing together mentees and mentors from several jurisdictions across Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Latin America. These groups will join the 33 groups currently participating in the 12th mentoring cycle. Hence, the programme continues to operate as one of the largest and most diverse mentoring networks in international arbitration.
As in previous years, the 11th mentoring cycle concluded with an excellent retreat in Paris, giving mentees and group advisors the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas in person.
We continue to be inspired by the dedication of our mentors, the engagement of our group advisors, and the enthusiasm of our mentees, many of whom remain connected long after their cycle ends.
Scholarships: Expanding Access to Opportunity
Through our Scholarship Programme, Young ICCA supported 10 scholars (from five continents) to attend leading arbitration events, conferences, and trainings across 4 separate regions, including LLM degrees at MIDS in Geneva and the University of Miami. These opportunities ensure that financial barriers do not prevent talented young practitioners from accessing global platforms.
This year, we were proud to expand our scholarship offerings, partnering with Delos to offer two Young ICCA Members full scholarships to attend the 2026 Delos Remote Oral Advocacy Programme (ROAP), with additional scholarship partnerships in the works.
We are proud to support scholars whose voices enrich the field and whose perspectives strengthen our community.
Young ICCA Voices: Showcasing Emerging Voices
Young ICCA Voices is now in its second year and published three issues, with reports from our workshop series, commentary and contributions from young practitioners worldwide on emerging issues, and interviews with important industry leaders.
These contributions help shape the thinking of the next generation and underscore Young ICCA’s role as a forum for fresh ideas and thoughtful debate.
Looking ahead
What unites all of these achievements is our commitment to the Young ICCA community, which stands at 19,000-strong. Your engagement fuels everything we do.
As we look ahead to the next year, we remain committed to expanding opportunities, deepening skills, and strengthening the global network that makes Young ICCA so special. We have several new initiatives under development and look forward to sharing them with you in due course. Thank you for your energy, contributions, and trust. We look forward to another year of learning, connection, and growth with all of you.
With warm wishes for the year ahead,
